Linear movement
Compass DHM projects presents in its catalog various components related to linear motion.
The linear motion system plays a fundamental role in the field of machine tools and industrial robots. The movements of many machines are made possible only through guides. Depending on the type of guide, the forces and moments between the moving fixed parts can be transmitted in certain directions. The guides are divided mainly according to the type of movement:
- Linear guides or translation guides: linear movement occurs along a direction of a given axis - examples: linear guides with ball bushings, linear guides with recirculating ball
- Rotary guides: circular motion occurs around an axis - examples deep groove ball bearings, radial plain bearings
Among the linear guides we find the rolling guides with ball, roller or wheels, and the hydrodynamic sliding guides. In support of these guides it is also possible to use shafts in ground hardened steel, or in chromed hardened steel. To complete a linear motion system, linear bushings or ball bearing carriages, shaft supports, locking rings, bearings… and many other accessories are required.
