Shafts hardened and chromed
Compass DHM projects presents in the catalog for linear movement the hardened, ground and chrome-plated shafts.
The shaft is a rod-shaped machine component used for transferring moments and rotational movements. Unlike the axis, which has a pure support or support function, the shaft transfers a rotational moment. The bars start from a steel with a high concentration of carbon suitable for the formation of a uniform hardening layer capable of guaranteeing constant hardness over the entire surface. Furthermore, being chromed they guarantee resistance to oxidation even for external uses (for example are the rods of hydraulic pistons).
They can be used with recirculating ball bearings. You can find the complementary linear bushings in the appropriate section. The rounds in chrome-plated ground hardened steel see their ideal application in machines with linear handling systems, such as CNC, 3D printers, but also on industrial automation machinery.
