nGen_LUX ColorFabb
Colorfabb's nGen_LUX is a unique FDM 3D printing filament. This yarn is based on nGen co-polyester, made with Eastman Amphora AM3300 polymer. The excellent clarity of the AM3300 base makes this material particularly suitable for use with the particular pigment used in nGen_LUX.
The material uses diffuse reflection to diffuse light in all directions. It is almost impossible for the eye to spot the difference between the layers, even with a layer height of 0.2 mm. Colorfabb's nGen_LUX allows you to print visually appealing models without the need for post-processing. nGen_LUX offers all the characteristic features of nGen: good chemical stability and high temperature resistance (85°C). It therefore allows you to print functional, durable, efficient and aesthetically appealing objects.

Print plan
Colorfabb's nGen_LUX offers the best results on a heated print bed, usually set in a range between 75°C and 85°C for proper adhesion to glass. Fixing agents can also be used to improve the adhesion of the first layer. Printing on an unheated build plate is possible for small to medium sized pieces but is not recommended for large pieces that are subject to warping.
Cooling down
Excessive cooling will lead to the creation of fragile parts with poor adhesion between layers. We therefore recommend starting with 50% cooling. It is always best to print nGen_LUX with minimum cooling to achieve the best inter-layer adhesion.
