Nylon by DSM
DSM's range of Nylon 3D printing filaments includes 4 different types of filament.
Novamid® AM1030 FR (PA6 / 66) filament from DSM is a high quality PA6 / 66 polyamide.
DSM's Novamid® filament is used in various applications and in various fields from automotive to packaging.
The Novamid® ID 1030 (PA6 / 66) filament from DSM is a filament used for the manufacture of fused filaments (FFF), with this filament it is possible to produce parts that are almost indistinguishable from those produced by standard injection molding. DSM's Novamid® filament is a PA6 / 66 polyamide and was originally developed many years ago by Engineering Plastics experts for demanding specialist applications, often subject to harsh environments and high temperatures (up to 125°C).
DSM's Novamid® ID 1030 filaments offer a unique combination of properties, including exceptional stiffness and ductility, in a wide range of applications, from transportation, to sports and electronics. Their optimized crystallization profile improves melting, enabling parts with excellent interlayer strength and high surface quality. This 3D printing wire is suitable for durable applications that require good mechanical properties
DSM's Novamid® ID 1070 filament is a unique PA6 polyamide filament. DSM's Novamid® ID 1070 was originally developed as a specialty product to meet the demand for high service levels in industries such as automotive and electronics.
DSM's Novamid® ID 1070 filament is a very ductile and durable polymer suitable for harsh environments and high temperatures, up to 150°C, and offers excellent layer-to-layer adhesion, strength and toughness compared to other 3D printing materials.
DSM's Novamid® ID 1030-CF10 filament can 3D print durable, high-performance structural parts for end use. With Novamid® ID 1030-CF10 3D printing technology is a viable option for demanding automotive structural applications that require robust performance at elevated temperatures.
With a carbon fiber load of just 10%, Novamid® ID 1030-CF10 prints parts with properties close to those usually achieved only with injection molding. It can be molded at the same speeds as unreinforced plastics, resulting in significantly better strength and toughness.
