Linear bushings

Compass DHM projects has various types of ball bushings among its products.

Linear ball bearings, also called linear ball bearings or linear bushings, combine low coefficients of friction, long operating life and adjustable precision, offering designers a flexible solution.

Linear bushings are designed to provide free movement in one direction only. Linear bushings are able to offer precision fluid movement along a single axis linear structure. Before installation, and during routine maintenance, the ball bushings must be lubricated. The lack of lubrication in fact makes the bearings more subject to oxidation and therefore would lead to the emergence of problems

Linear bearings are designed for various applications, for example:

• Robotics

• Industrial automation

To choose the right bearing, it is necessary to start from the type of application and the load that the bearing must undergo. Once this is done there are other aspects of the bushing to consider:

• Open or closed model
• Dimensions - width, length, internal diameter
• Dynamic load capacity
• Material
• Lubrication type
