PA-CF
PA-CF Low Warp is the first PA-based filament created by colorFabb. It does not compromise on printability: it allows you to print almost without warping at room temperature. Printers with a heated platen will be able to print PA-CF Low Warp without warping issues. This allows many users to work with PA-CF Low Warp in desktop FDM printers.
PA-CF Low Warp has been modified to reduce moisture absorption by up to 4 times compared to a normal filament. In practice, this means that users should be able to print the material without noticing extreme influences of moisture absorption. PA-CF Low Warp allows the part to be maintained at 120°C . This is a filament born from the collaboration between Colorfabb and LEHVOSS Group with the aim of developing a very strong filament from an engineering point of view.
Features
- Material: PA-CF low warp
- Diameter tolerance: ± 0.1 mm
- Density: 1.4 g-cm-3
- Continuous use temperature: 120C
Tips & Tricks
- Suggested Print Temperature: 260-280C
- Suggested printing speed: 30 - 40 mm/s
- Suggested print bed temperature: (optional) ambient - 50°C
Printing surface
The material shows good results when printed at room temperature or with a cold plate. For some geometries or high density fillings a heated platen at 40°C/50°C is recommended. The use of a brim helps when printing with an unheated platen. The material has been tested on buildTak and glass top. When printing on a glass top, we recommend using a fixative to keep the filament in the first few layers adhered to the top.
Cooling
As always, less cooling results in better layer-to-layer adhesion, more cooling produces better results on complex and protruding surfaces. A fan speed of 50% is recommended as the default setting. Set a lower fan speed if your print geometry allows it.
