PLA Economy is the solution from Colorfabb for all those users looking for a reliable source of quality material available in large format reels. For this material, a specific type of PLA is selected that offers great quality at reasonable costs.

It is the perfect material for users who print large amounts of filament, and at the same time need reliability and consistent performance.

Colorfabb has selected 5 colors for this range of Economy PLA.

Tips & Tricks

• Suggested printing temperature: 195-220°C
• Suggested printing speed: 40 - 100 mm/s
• Suggested print bed temperature: 50-60°C (optional)

Print bed

PLA Economy from Colorfabb works well on both heated and unheated print decks. When printing on a cold platen we recommend applying blue ribbon, or alternatively one of the specific adhesives.

The rough surface of the tape, or the adhesive layer created by the fixative, will provide sufficient adhesion for the first layer, so you can print almost without warping.

When using a heated build plate, we recommend a plate temperature of 50-60°C.

Cooling

For PLA Economy filament Colorfabb we recommend 100% fan cooling for best detail and performance on complex protruding surfaces.

Large models tend to show deformation at the corners, printing with less cooling can reduce deformation..
