PLA/PHA

The first filament developed by Colorfabb for FDM 3D printing.
This is a harder and less brittle PLA than the classic one. Through a process called compounding, a polyhydroxyalkanoate is added to a carefully selected PLA blend.
The result of this process is a completely homogeneous mixture, which is the basis for the PLA / PHA filament Colorfabb.

The PLA / PHA filament is available in 30 colors, characterized by great brilliance and excellent opacity.
With higher toughness and better adhesion between layers during printing. PLA / PHA from Colorfabb is a premium filament.

Tips & Tricks

• Suggested printing temperature: 195-220°C
• Suggested printing speed: 40 - 100 mm/s
• Suggested Platen Temperature: 50-60°C (optional)

Print bed
Our PLA / PHA works well on both heated and unheated print beds When printing on a cold print bed we recommend applying blue tape or alternatively one of the specific adhesives.
The rough surface of the tape, or the adhesive layer created by the fixative, will provide sufficient adhesion for the first layer, so you can print almost without deformation.
When using a heated build plate, we recommend a plate temperature of 50-60°C.

Cooling
For PLA / PHA filament Colorfabb we recommend 100% fan cooling for best detail and performance on complex protruding surfaces.
Large models tend to show deformation at the corners, printing with less cooling can reduce deformation.
