- Description
The Mako Hotend is designed by Slice Engineering to simplify nozzle changes, enabling quick and effortless replacements. This innovative system offers high flow performance, ensuring efficient printing for Bambu Lab X1 and P1 printers, saving time and effort.
- Mako Hotend: Effortless Nozzle Changes and Optimized Performance
The Mako Hotend revolutionizes your printing experience with its patented rigid cage design, which allows you to change nozzles in seconds without having to remove the entire hotend. Designed for durability and impact protection, the Mako ensures quick and easy nozzle replacement.
- Optimized Flow Performance
Experience optimal flow with the Mako's innovative flow diffuser, which maintains a constant and uniform flow. This technology reduces internal turbulence, improving extrusion efficiency and ensuring high-quality prints with every use.
- Superior Thermal Management
Featuring Bimetallic technology Heat Break, the Mako reduces the problem of heat and clogging, enabling smooth printing with difficult materials such as Nylon (PA), polycarbonate (PC) and TPU. Its design, which includes a copper hot block and an aluminum heat sink, offers outstanding thermal performance for more reliable and smooth prints.
- Compatibility with FIN Nozzles
The FIN standard features a unique nozzle geometry that interconnects with the silicone cap, completely insulating thehotend and protecting it from cold air and plastic. Several manufacturers, including Bondtech, Diamondback and Micro-Swiss, are launching their best nozzles using the new FIN standard, making it easy to change nozzles with the Nozzle Torque Wrench™.
- Robust and Durable Design
Built with high-quality materials such as high-strength copper alloys, aircraft-grade aluminum, and hardened steels, the Mako is designed to operate for thousands of hours without compromising quality. The patented cage design protects the delicate heat break from impact, allowing one-handed nozzle changes and ensuring long-lasting performance.
Key Features.
- Changing Nozzles in Seconds: Changing nozzles has never been easier. With Mako, you can switch from one nozzle to another in the blink of an eye.
- Bimetallic Technology Heat Break™: Prevents jams and clogs, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted printing.
- Print Finishing Up to 60% Faster: Thanks to the innovative design, prints are completed faster, increasing operational efficiency.
- Improved Print Quality: Mako ensures high-quality results without compromising print speed.
- Versatility in Printing: It is compatible with a wide range of filaments, from flexible materials such as TPU to abrasive filaments reinforced with carbon and glass fibers.
*To maximize flow rate, a CHT nozzle with the new FIN nozzle standard must be used.
Electronics Preference.
- Standard Electronics: Remove existing electronics (heater/sensor/fan) and install them in the new hotend.
- Preinstalled Electronics: Receive a product already equipped with electronics, ready for use.
Nozzle Types Available
- GammaMaster (FIN): Abrasion-resistant nozzles, ideal for carbon- and fiberglass-filled filaments and for handling flexible materials.
- CHT (FIN): Maximizes flow rate by dividing the incoming filament into 3 filaments, heating the filament core and improving mixing and mechanical strength through improved inner layer bonding.
- DiamondBack (FIN): Provides unmatched durability and accuracy through a solid diamond tip, capable of printing any filament without nozzle wear or replacement.
Note: Only nozzles using the FIN standard are compatible with thehotend Mako.
