3DLac is a Spanish company that develops spray adhesives for FDM 3D printers. Their products aim at better adhesion of the material to the print bed.
The problem with the first layer
Those who use an FDM 3D printer know the difficulties of getting a good first layer. The first layer is one of the fundamental parts of a print because it lays the foundation for the rest of the structure. There are several reasons why the first layer of a print can have problems, but there are also several solutions to make it perfect.
One possible solution for adhesion
There are many adhesives for the print layer, and choosing them can sometimes be difficult. Some are specific to the type of material, some are specific to the type of platen, and some require special temperatures to work properly.
3DLAC provides two types of adhesives:
- 3DLac Plus Spray Glue
- 3DLac Fixing Varnish
By ensuring good adhesion to the platen these adhesives also prevent warping, avoiding the need to throw away hours and hours of printing. On the other hand, they are not too strong because they would result in difficult removal from the build plate. In short, you need the right balance.
Key features: 3DLac Plus Glue Spray
3DLAC PLUS keeps parts attached to the platen during the 3D printing process. It can be used directly on a glass platen, but is also compatible with other types of platens: magnetic bases, PEI, Flex or silicone...
The main advantages are:
- Fast drying
- Easy application
- Cleaning with water
- Can be used with PLA, ABS, PETG, etc.
We recommend letting the printed part cool down before removing it from the plane.
