BMG-HT for Intamsy Funmat HT - Bondtech

A high temperature extruder: the BMG-HT for Intamsys Funmat HT is a high temperature upgrade kit based on the popular Bondtech Mini Geared (BMG) extruder. It features a milled aluminum housing and a high-temperature pancake stepper motor that can withstand the high temperatures of the print chamber.

Upgraded version with filament tension adjustment
This new version of the BMG-HT allows the distance between the drive gears to be adjusted. Two side screws move the secondary gear carriage, allowing the BMG-HT to be adapted to more filament types and hardnesses

Lower weight load for higher performance
Using the 3:1 gear ratio, the available thrust force and resolution has been increased despite the use of a high-temperature stepper pancake motor. The lightweight stepper motor and aluminum housing reduce the overall weight of the printhead. Comparing the parts replaced and added in this configuration for Intamsys Funmat HT, the weight load was reduced from over 400g to less than 260g. This is a weight saving of more than 35 percent that will have a significant and positive impact on printer performance.

Direct Dual Extrusion Drive
Like all other extruders Bondtech, the BMG-HT also uses direct dual drive technology. Effective and consistent extrusion is achieved, regardless of the material used.

Note: The stepper motor must operate at less than 1A. It is recommended to set the current to 0.7A. Different versions of Funmat-HT come from the factory with different configurations of driver stepper . Make sure the machine runs the extruder stepper motor at 0.7A by checking the DIP switch configuration of driver.
