PORTENTA H7's main processor is the dual core STM32H747 that includes a 480 MHz Cortex® M7 and a 240 MHz Cortex® M4. The two cores communicate via a remote procedure call mechanism that allows functions on the other processor to be called without interruption.
Both processors share all in-chip peripherals and can run:
Arduino sketches on top of the Arm® Mbed operating system ?
Native Mbed applications ?
MicroPython / JavaScript via a
TensorFlow interpreter ? Lite
The on-board wireless module allows for simultaneous WiFi and Bluetooth® connectivity. The WiFi interface can be used as an Access Point, as a Station or as a simultaneous dual mode AP / STA and can handle a transfer rate of up to 65 Mbps. The Bluetooth® interface supports Bluetooth Classic and BLE.
By default, Arduino PORTENTA H7 comes with:
Dual-core STM32H747 processor with graphics engine
8 MB SDRAM
16 MB NÉ Flash
10/100 Ethernet Phy
USB HS
NXP SE050C2 Crypto
WiFi / BT module
UFL (antenna) connector
DisplayPort via USB-C
Tailor the hardware to your needs
If you need more memory, PORTENTA H7 can accommodate up to 64 MBytes of SDRAM and 128 MBytes of QSPI Flash. It comes with an external UFL connector for adding a high-gain antenna to the board. Choose from crypto-chips from Microchip® and NXP.
Use Portenta when performance is critical:
High-end industrial machinery
Laboratory equipment
Computer vision
PLC
Industry-ready user interfaces
Robotics controllers
Mission-critical devices
Dedicated desktop computer
High-speed boot computation (ms)
A new standard for pinouts:
The Portenta family adds two high-density 80-pin connectors to the bottom of the board. This provides scalability for a wide range of applications by simply upgrading the Portenta board to one that fits your needs.
