The Bondtech CHT nozzles divide the filament into 3 thinner filaments, allowing the material to be fused from the inside. In this way, the material melts faster and higher flow rates can be used.
Advantages of nickel coating
A nickel coating is applied to this particular model of CHT copper nozzles to provide protection against corrosion, erosion, and abrasion. Nickel-coated nozzles have greater corrosion resistance and a lower coefficient of friction, which allows for smoother feeding of material and delays the adhesion of plastic to the nozzle surface.
This type of nozzle is suitable for the following materials: PLA / ABS / HIPS / PC / TPU / TPE / Nylon / PETG / ASA / PP / PVA For technical and abrasive materials, however, they are not particularly suitable as they tend to wear out due to the abrasive effect of the material.
This set is optimized for 1.75 mm filament, but can also be used with 2.85 mm filaments. A 6 mm wrench is needed to unscrew and screw the nozzles.
It is recommended to have several sets of nozzles because:
Using different materials with the same nozzles causes deposits to form inside the nozzle.
These deposits cause clogging.
It is recommended to change nozzles when changing materials.
