next level, whether it is running Klipper or even Marlin with all the latest features. This is the first motherboard to incorporate "Manta" technology (B2B connectors for CB1 or CM4 modules) and "EZ" technology (the ability to use the latest driver EZ). Simply connect the CB1 core board and the driver EZs on the motherboard to upgrade the Ender 3 printer to work with Klipper. With the absence of an external raspberry pi, the Manta series saves messy wiring and makes for an extremely compact implementation.
Display compatibility: MANTA series motherboards support SPI and HDMI displays.
File: Manta E3EZ is directly compatible with Ender-3. Because we crammed so much into this board, we could not keep the size 100% compatible with other machines Ender and therefore smaller, printable adapters are required. To check if your machine requires an adapter, please see this link:
Key Features
- STM32G0B1RE series 32-bit, 64 MHz ARM Cortex-M0+ MCU.
- TPS5450-5A power supply chip supports DC12/24V power input, rated current output of 5A continuous and 6A instantaneous, sufficient power supply for Raspberry Pi.
- The thermistor circuit is protected to prevent damage to the MCU if the heated bed and heating cartridge are short-circuited.
- The firmware of the MCU can be upgraded via SD card or using DFU via the make flash command of Klipper.
- BTB connectors are adopted between the motherboard and the core board, allowing the choice of other core board solutions besides CM4.
- SPI and UART modes of driver EZ, usable directly without a jumper.
- Built-in DIAG pin, easily configured with jumpers.
- Support of power loss recovery, filament depletion sensor, auto power off, BLTouch, RGB, etc,
- High-efficiency MOSFET for lower heat generation.
- Replaceable fuse for easy maintenance.
- Built-in SPI interface for connecting an acceleration sensor to enable Klipper input modeling.
- Temperature sensor interface adopts a high-precision pull-up resistor.
- Each module driver can select the corresponding motor voltage by jumper.
- The motor power supply supports up to 56 V, and for higher voltages, when using the EZ5160, an isolation chip is used to protect the main control from burning out the IO.
Package contains: 1 x BIGTREETECH E3EZ V1.0 for Ender 3
Precautions
The maximum current of the heated bed is 10A; if a high-power heated bed is preferred, use 24V voltage to power the system and use a 24V heated bed.
With the exception of HDMI, USB, and RJ45, unplugging and plugging operations should be carried out in power-off condition, including the eMMC write function.
Pay attention to the heat dissipation of CB1/CM4. If the running application consumes too many system resources, CB1/CM4 will seriously overheat.
The MicroSD card slot is not spring loaded; be careful when inserting the MicroSD card to avoid damaging it.
