Compatibility
Chimera + is compatible with the E3D ecosystem, which means you can upgrade your setup to the specifications you want. Choose from our range of heating blocks, temperature sensors, heating cartridges and nozzles.
Multimaterial
Using two independent heating blocks allows you to print two different types of filament at two different temperatures simultaneously. For example, you can print simultaneously with two different colored PLA filaments for two-color prints. Or you can use two different types of filament such as PLA and a PVA backing material for complex shapes to allow for easier removal of the backings in post-production.
Water Cooling
The water-cooled variant of Chimera + is useful for heated printing chambers where air cooling is not suitable, for example ambient temperatures above 40°C. This makes Chimera + one of the most versatile E3D HotEnds, enabling high-temperature printing of materials such as PEEK with a suitable high-temperature substrate material.
