The "Duet3 Expansion 3HC" board is an expansion board for the Duet 3 family that connects via CAN-FD bus to Duet 3 motherboards. The Duet 3 family provides control of a wide range of machines, including 3D printers, CNCs, lasers and more, building on Duet3D 's experience in developing the most customizable and adaptable 3d printer control solutions. The overall goal of the Duet 3 series is to allow maximum flexibility in machine design through main boards, expansion boards, toolboards, and custom expansion modules.
Here are the main features at a glance:
- Dedicated 32-bit processor (ARM Cortex M4F at 120 Mhz)
- CAN-FD bus connection to Duet 3 motherboard. (Compatible with Duet 3 6HC motherboard and Duet 3 Mini 5+ motherboard)
- 3 driver stepper Trinamic's next-generation TMC2160/5160 with current up to 4.45A RMS, 6.3A peak with firmware control of the full feature set, including up to 256 microstepping, StallGuard 2 and StealthChop 2
- 9 PWM outputs with variable current capability to support, for example, 3 extruders and 6 fans. (3x5A for extruders and the like)
- 6 IO ports for terminals, probes, filament monitors, and other sensors (3 of these support 4-wire fans including RPM readout)
- Support for a wide range of Z probes including the Z IR probe DC42 and Duet3D Smart Effector for delta printers.
- 6 I/O Connectors with 3.3V output signal level and 30V tolerance inputs are provided for IO ports.
- 3 Thermistor / PT1000 inputs and support for 4 PT100 / thermocouple inputs via optional daughterboards.
- Supply voltage 12-48 V v1.02 and later; 12-32 V v1.01 and earlier.
