AH3364Q-P-B High Precision Magnetic Switch

The AH3364Q is an AECQ100-qualified, high-sensitivity, single-pole Hall-effect integrated circuit (IC) designed for position and proximity sensing in automotive applications. It is particularly suitable for applications such as seats and seatbelt buckles, steering lock/immobilization, transmission actuator and gear position, HVAC compressor, windshield wipers, and door and trunk locking.

To support a wide range of demanding applications, the design has been optimized to operate with a power supply range of 3.0V to 28V. With a chopper-stabilized architecture and an internal band regulator that provides temperature-compensated power to internal circuits, the AH3364Q offers a reliable solution over the entire operating range. For robustness and protection, the device is equipped with an inverse blocking diode with a Zener clamp on the power supply. The output is protected by a current limit and a Zener clamp.

The single open drain output can be activated with the south pole of sufficient magnetic force. When the magnetic flux density (B) perpendicular to the package is higher than the turn-on point (BOP), the output is turned on (turned down) and remains on until the magnetic flux density B is lower than the release point (BRP). The output remains off for north magnetic fields or in the absence of magnetic fields.
