The plastic parts included in this set are professionally molded with nylon for maximum strength and precision and increased temperature resistance.
Working Temperature Limits
Please note that the working temperature limit of this product does not extend to the entire upgrade kit. If you use this accessory set and the Bondtech LGX? extruder inside an enclosed chamber, you will have the following working temperature limits:
Due to the stepper motor > up to 80°C.
PA12 parts can withstand up to 100°C.
Community-sourced design
This extruder design is based on Gerd Jentz's design published on GitHub. We made some minor adjustments to his design and added our own filament sensor housing and X-carriage design that is compatible with the MK3S' stock X-axis.
