The 256x256mm FR4/G10 printing plate is designed for Bambulab X1/P1 3D printers.
Created in response to strong demand from our customers, we have integrated this innovative set of FR4 printing surfaces. Made from 0.5 mm thick FR4 adhered to a flexible plate, this solution is more than 60 percent thicker than the industry standard, providing superior wear resistance and durability. The plate is single-sided, with the back left hollow to improve sealing compared to traditional double-sided plates.
Key Features.
- 256x256mm FR4/G10 surface specifically designed for Bambulab X1/P1 printers.
- 0.5mm thickness of FR4, a highly wear-resistant material.
- Flexible plate over 60% thicker than the industry standard, providing greater stability and durability.
- Single-sided: one active surface to improve adhesion of the molded part.
Advantages:
- Increased wear resistance: the FR4/G10 material and extra thickness offer long service life.
- Versatility: suitable for a wide range of printing materials.
- Improved adhesion due to single surface, ideal for reliable and accurate prints.
- Improved alignment tolerance: 5mm oversize reduces the risk of lost print space.
Disadvantages:
- Single-sided surface: does not offer the ability to turn the plate over in case of surface wear.
- Potentially higher cost than standard plates, given higher quality and thickness.
- Greater thickness than standard could slightly affect plate heating time.
Usage temperatures:
Usage temperatures for an FR4/G10 printing plate may vary depending on the printing material, but generally:
- FR4/G10 is resistant to temperatures up to about 140-150°C, making it suitable for most prints with standard filaments such as PLA, PETG, and ABS.
- It can also handle higher temperatures up to 180°C for limited periods, but prolonged use at these temperatures could affect the life of the plate.
This temperature range is ideal for a wide variety of print materials, providing a durable, heat-resistant surface.
Cleaning:
Cleaning the FR4/G10 printing plate is important to ensure optimal adhesion and prolong its life. Here's how to do it:
-
Daily cleaning (after each print):
- Use a soft cloth or paper towel moistened with isopropyl alcohol (at least 90%) to remove filament residue, oil or grease from your hands.
- Gently wipe the surface to avoid accumulation of dust or print residue.
-
Deep cleaning (periodic):
- If the surface is particularly dirty or has persistent residue, wash the plate with warm water and mild soap.
- Use a soft sponge to avoid scratching the surface. Rinse well and dry completely before reusing.
-
Avoid:
- Harsh or abrasive chemicals, such as strong solvents or hard brushes, as they can damage the FR4 surface.
- Touch the plate with bare hands to prevent skin oil from compromising adhesion.
