Silicone socks - also called socks or socks for hotend - are custom-made silicone wraps that match specific hotend for FDM 3D printers.
Silicone socks are made from a silicone blend, so they are flexible, heat resistant and non-stick. Very useful especially with materials such as co-polyesters and composite materials, which tend to make the block of 'hotend very dirty.
They are easy to install and remove, keeping the heating block clean, with no burnt or blackened plastic residue. They also offer increased temperature stability, especially when using a fan with airflow directed around the nozzle during printing.
