- Description
Closure panels specifically for the FDM 3D printer Voron 2.4 r2. These are 3mm thick laser-cut PMMA panels according to official project drawings found among the attachments at the bottom of the page.
What panels are included?
Included are:
- the 2 side panels in transparent PMMA
- the top closure in transparent PMMA
- the 2 front doors in transparent PMMA
- the back in black PMMA
- the bottom in black PMMA
- the deck panel (divider between printing chamber and electronics compartment) in black PMMA
They are cut to size for the printer Voron 2.4 r2 according to the selected size.
The sides and edges are sanded to avoid injury when handling them. They come with protective film on both sides.
How can I assemble them?
The panels are to be assembled according to the official Voron design manual for Voron 2.4. You will need to use hardware-not included with this product, but available on our website-and some plastic parts that are to be printed.
If you are looking for a complete solution of small parts and even hepa filters and activated carbon, check out the section Voron Step by step, there you will find ready-to-use kits for this phase of the project as well.
Why mount the panels on the Voron 2.4 printer?
These are quality materials that allow you to make your Voron 2.4 an enclosed environment so you can also print technical filaments.
You do not create a hot chamber because there is no active thermoregulated heating. It is a closed chamber in which, if the printing table is also activated, a temperature of about 45°C up to a maximum of 60°C is created.
Although the temperatures are not excessive, attention must be paid to the quality of the panels that are installed. In fact, the continuous thermal stress due to cooling and heating of the chamber could induce the formation of small cracks making them brittle, ruining their aesthetics and sharply shortening their service life. Our panels are certified, with quality assurance on the raw material that is processed to make them.
Caution. Clean only with water to avoid ruining the panels (dulling them or facilitating yellowing over time).
Since these are assembly kits, it may happen that at the time of installation of the panels there are small discrepancies in the closing of the front doors. This can result from an accumulation of small errors during assembly. It can be solved by removing a few tenths of material along the entire affected side with an abrasive tool.
Package contains: 1 x closure panel kit for Voron 2.4 r2 (size selected)
