Polyimide tape, also known as Kapton® tape, resistant to high temperatures, with one adhesive side. It adapts to all surfaces even those that are not perfectly even due to its elasticity. It was born as a masking tape that imparts excellent electrical insulation, excellent mechanical strength and exceptional heat resistance up to peaks of even +400°C.
After various tests conducted by 3D printing pioneers, it has proven to be perfect for use on both heated and unheated 3D printer platters to allow the part being printed to adhere to the print bed. This prevents the edges of the object from lifting up, warping, or even the part coming off the plate during printing, compromising the entire job.
It also acts as a good insulator and is therefore good for coating and protecting all the wiring that will then have to withstand even temperatures above 200°C, such as thermistors, extruder cartridges, aluminum blocks, and power cables for the heated platter.
Features: flexible and adhesive - also suitable for use on uneven surfaces - good insulating ability - low friction on the surface - good chemical resistance - resistant to temperatures over 260°C with peaks up to 400°C (for short periods).
The item you receive may differ in some characteristics from the one pictured, depending on the production batch. Despite this, the functionality is maintained.
