Package contains: 1 x FLUORX PVDF - Natural / 1.75mm - 3DXTech
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) is a high performance polymer that offers exceptional thermal and chemical resistance.
Rated for use up to 130°C, this filament can be used in demanding applications under the most extreme conditions. PVDF is resistant to most chemicals and solvents, making it perfect for applications that will be exposed to harsh environments.
Advantages of PVDF include:
High thermal properties: 130°C
Excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, such as automotive fluids, oils, gases, lubricants, fully halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols, acids and bases
Non-hygroscopic, does not absorb moisture. No drying required!
Inherently UV resistant with very stable H-F bonds.
Low smoke and flame characteristics with a V-0 rated base resin
Long-term hydrolytic stability
Resistant to nuclear radiation
Excellent abrasion resistance ? similar to Nylon and UHMW-PE for high wear applications
Filament specifications:
Diameter: 1.75 mm (+/- 0.05 mm)
Recommended print settings:
Extruder: between 245°C and 265°C depending on the printer. Some should reach 280°C
Platen temperature: 90 ? 110°C
Platen preparation: it is recommended to use an adhesive
Other: no or slow cooling fan.
Print at a speed of 40-60 mm/s as a good starting point.
Drying instructions: PVDF does not absorb moisture and does not need drying!
Safety note: This polymer starts to degrade and decay at temperatures above 290°C. Please keep the extruder temperature below that point to avoid degradation, gas leakage and loss of mechanical properties.
