Revo Prusa Edition is the best choice if you want to upgrade your old E3D V6 configuration to the latest generation of HotEnd from the manufacturer E3D.
It has thesame height, filament diameter, and mounting groove as the E3D V6, so it fits directly into V6-equipped machines without having to redesign printhead mounts and accessories.
Just mount it, connect the Revo HeaterCore wires, and you're ready to print. - And you can still use all the print profiles created on Prusa slicer!
The Revo Prusa Edition is designed to work with Revo nozzles, so you can swap nozzles by screwing them on with your fingers at room temperature without the need for complex tools or hot-tightening. Each Revo nozzle is factory sealed (nozzle + heat break), making it much easier to use and more reliable than most HotEnds available on the market today.
Revo Prusa Edition uses a Revo HeaterCore, the latest heating and temperature sensing architecture in a single cylinder. It reaches temperature much faster than a traditional aluminum heating block and is much safer: a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) means the HeaterCore cannot melt at extreme temperatures, reducing risks in the event of a thermal runaway.
A black anodized heat sink distinguishes Revo Prusa Edition from its predecessor.
Caution:
- Z offset may need to be adjusted when changing nozzles.
- Prusa i3 MK2 variants are mostly 12V systems and are therefore not compatible with this HotEnd variant.
- Revo Prusa Edition has not been tested with MMU or MMU2; if you are interested in this use case, there is a dedicated channel discord with users who are experimenting with this configuration.
