Structural extruded profiles in black anodized aluminum - cut to size - length expressed in millimeters (mm) ATTENTION CUTTING TOLERANCE OF +/- 0.5mm Processing time 24/48h on material in stock What does series 5 mean? The profiles have 6 mm wide slots. These light and economical profiles, for the price/quality ratio, have an important peculiarity: they have a black anodized surface treatment. Therefore, they can be installed even in unfavorable environments. By choosing the right combination of slots, they can be used for various types of installation. For example, they are ideal for the realization of protections and customizable structures. Among the other products of the series 5 you can find pre-assembly or post-assembly T-nuts, screws and accessories compatible with all configurations that you can get by customizing your profile series 5! Among the options you can choose to thread the ends or make through holes for installation using "Blind Joints".
One of our services is the customization of the product, in particular the cut to size. We offer cutting to size using cutting-off machines and cutting benches, with the possibility of selecting the material most suitable to your needs by customizing thicknesses, diameters and lengths. On request you can take advantage of various types of processing: drilling, threading, tapping, end cutting, creation of grooves, sanding, satin finishing, coloring and packaging. You can use the contact form or contact us by e-mail.
In the 20x20 series 5 aluminum profile, is the center hole threaded? What size? How do you suggest "closing" the corners? I don't see any 2-way or 3-way cube. Thank you for your attention
We have made the threaded ends option available; immediately after entering the length measurement you will find a box to check to receive profiles with M5 threaded ends (all specifications can be found in the information caption by hovering the mouse over the letter "i").
For corner connections, no 2-way or 3-way connectors are currently available for this series. You may possibly use cover caps (https://www.dhm-online.com/series-5-cava-6/1020-cap-2020-mm-per-profile-series-5-polyamide-black-pieces-5.html) and connect the profiles by means of angle brackets (https://www.dhm-online.com/series-5-cava-6/986-staff-2028-with-wings-90-for-profile-series-5-2020.html).

In the documentation for 20x20 t-slot profiles, an accuracy on the cut of 0.5 mm is given. If I am not mistaken in my interpretation of the figure, it follows that a maximum difference of 1 mm could occur between two elements of the same theoretical ...
The +/- 0.5mm tolerance is meant on each individual size entered into the system and then ordered, as this is a possible initial error in machine positioning. It is not a +/- 0.5mm error that can be accumulated on every part cut of the same size, as once set to a specific size the parts all come out identical with virtually zero error (we are in the range of +/-0.1mm for parts of the same size cut sequentially).
In the case of a 3D printer frame, particularly that of a Voron, where there are two structural profile measurements (the 8 perimeters and the 4 columns at the corners) there will be a maximum error of +/-0.2mm (between two elements of the same theoretical length). This tolerance on the cut will not interfere with the general sliding system and operation of the machine as it will not affect more than the operator himself when assembling and squaring the frame.
