Hard chrome plating is a surface treatment carried out to improve the characteristics of the bar. The resistance to chemical agents and to oxidation and corrosion is considerably increased, always maintaining a good mechanical workability.
The tolerance on the diameter favors a high precision on sliding and straightness.
The low roughness reduces friction and noise, increasing smoothness.
