These bars start from a steel with a high concentration of carbon suitable for the formation of a uniform hardening layer able to guarantee a constant hardness on the whole surface.
After surface hardening the bars are ground to the required tolerance.
The tolerance on the diameter favours a high precision on sliding and straightness.
The high surface hardness guarantees high performance and high resistance to wear.
Low roughness reduces friction and noise and increases smoothness.
