This extruder upgrade is for Prusa MK2 or Prusa MK2S. It includes the Bondtech drive gears.
This kit is for users who also require the Bondtech Drivegears.

This kit contains the parts needed to convert the extruder to a new extruder concept with a 3:1 gear ratio for better accuracy and resolution along with optimized geometry for heat sink cooling and many other great features.
Also lowering the weight in motion to reduce ghosting and vibration.

This is a co-development effort with the Prusa team.
A lot of work was spent on this project to find a solution that can be mounted on a Prusa I3 MK2, MK2S, MK2.5 and MK3. The extruder parts are not optimized for FDM printing but for SLS printing which we use to produce the polyamide 12 housing parts for maximum precision and temperature resistance.
Lightweight stepper motor included
This kit comes with a 25mm pancake stepper that has a torque of 18 Ncm for light but powerful extrusion and a new stepper cable for connecting the motor.
The original part cooling fan has been replaced
The original 50 × 15 radial part cooling fan used in this configuration and is not included.
This configuration is made to use a 40x40x10 heat sink cooling fan that must be purchased separately, it is not included. The original partial cooling fan on MK2 and MK2S is 30x30x10 and does not fit.
For more effective HotEnd cooling, we recommend a high pressure fan such as Sunon's MF40100V1-1000U-G99 or similar.
Filament sensor cover
A printed filament sensor cover is included with the use of an FDM printer.
For MK2, MK2S and others
This extruder will fit the standard MK2 and Mk2S cart and also other popular models such as MK3, Vecko, Zaribo and Bear.
Firmware modification required: new
E-Steps value
need to be updated to 415 for MK2, MK2s and MK2.5 and it is easy to do by downloading this g-code file, just insert it into SD card and select to print the esteps.gcode file which will set esteps and save it.
For MK3 it needs to be 830 as it uses 32 bit microstepping, use this file instead.
