This is the Bondtech latest generation upgrade for the popular Prusa I3 MK3S, with an optimized design obtained with the help of the Prusa team.
Extruder Bondtech for Prusa i3 MK2.5S and MK3S
This kit contains only the parts needed to convert your current extruder to the popular BMG (Bondtech Mini Geared) extruder based design with 3:1 gear ratio for better accuracy and resolution along with optimized heat sink cooling geometry and housing printed using an SLS printer.
It is also compatible with the MK2.5S model.
Lightweight BMG (Bondtech Mini Geared)
With this version, the moving weight has also been lowered to reduce ghosting and vibrations or to allow increased printing speed.
A 15% weight saving has been achieved.

Tackling 3D Printing Problems
The improved housing design improves cooling and reduces the heat loss problems that all metal hotends have when printing with PLA.
This small improvement will prevent a lot of clogs.
The increase in push force will dramatically reduce filament slippage and warping avoiding most of the common filament 3D printing problems that start with under and over extrusion.
MMU2s
To use MMU2s in conjunction with Bondtech, an additional add-on is required.
This will allow the sensor to activate when the filament reaches the drive gears.
Community Involvement
This is a co-development effort with the Prusa team.
A lot of work went into this project to find a solution that would be the best fit for Prusa I3 MK3S.
