This extruder upgrade kit for the Raise3D N1 / N2 / N2+ printer.
On early printers you will need a Raise3D Dual Adapter cable to connect the factory cable to the new motor. You can determine if your printer has legacy engines with a simple visual check. Motors that require the adapter will have a silver appearance (unpainted aluminum finish) on the front and back of the motor. If your printer's motors have black front and back end plates, you will not need this adapter.
Reliable filament extrusion
Allows for more reliable printing with all types of filament, both rigid and flexible, and the Dual-Drive system ensures that the extruder never loses its grip on the filament.
Reduced weight for better quality and speed
The original extruder configuration on Raise3D is 890g for dual configuration, this new upgrade is 425g with the included motors and allows for faster printing without surface issues due to vibration during acceleration/deceleration.
Includes pancake stepper motors The kit comes with the lightweight pancake motors.
Additional Information
The extruder comes with two 4mm tube plug-in connectors that will allow you to connect existing guide tubes to the extruder.
Tubes are not included.
Installs in about half an hour with standard tools available.
This upgrade fits both Revision 1 (cast) and Revision 2 (cnc milled) versions of the printhead.
Installation is done in about 20 minutes. No need to cut and solder wires. E-step value: 415
IMPORTANT!!!
We have learned that if the ribbon cable from the break-out board is disconnected when the printer is powered on, a thermal run could occur, make sure the ribbon cable is held securely in place with hot glue or a cable tie.
