Note
The Industrial PAR Sensor has three versions.
(1) PAR-2.5V: supporting 2.5V analog voltage output, the cable comes in the format of hook-up wires.
(2) S-PAR-02A: supporting MODBUS-RTU RS485 protocol, the cable comes in the format of hook-up wires
(3) S-PAR-02B: supporting MODBUS-RTU RS485 protocol, the cable comes in the format of a waterproof aviation connector. With this version, you won't have to use screws to connect the cable to the data logger. And it can be used with SenseCAP Sensor Hub 4G Data Logger instantly with ease.
The only difference between versions (2) & (3) is in the cable connector. Please choose the version that best suits your needs:

Sunlight has a tremendous impact on the lifecycle of almost all creatures on this planet. humans, animals, and plants all rely on on the sun and its radiations. For plants, especially, light is a key factor in photosynthesis reaction and controls their survival. Different species of plants (for instance, C3 vs C4 plants) and even different growth stage of the same species demands different degrees of light duration, exposure, strength, and radiation range. Sun exposure, for instance, influences the foliage density, flowering, and fruiting of a plant. Sensors are thus a useful technology to help ensure the effective controlling of important parameters, like photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), contributing to the success of research or agricultural activities.
The industrial-grade PAR sensor featuring high performance, accuracy, and easy-installment, is designed to measure real-time photosynthetic light levels, which is the primary driver of plant photosynthesis. This instrument is able to monitor the PAR in environments with natural light sources across a radiation range from 400 to 700 nm and provides important parameters for researchers and farmers. The sensor contains a Silicon photodetector. When there's light in, the sensor generates a voltage signal that is directly proportional to the PAR under the light source. You are able to obtain the measurement value in a unit of ?mol/m2?s. The instrument supports analog 2.5V output. You can therefore connect this PAR sensor with respective data loggers or digital voltmeters to create monitoring systems that meet your own demand.
This PAR sensor is robust with IP66 enclosure and is able to withstand a wide range of temperature from -30°C to 75°C, unlocking applications in harsh outdoor environments to support photosynthesis, solar, and ecological research, and to assist smart agriculture, outdoor large-scale plantation, greenhouse farming, tourism, meteorological sensing, etc.
